At Spectrum Athletic Clubs, we are proud to offer our members an exclusive space to participate in our group fitness classes. Our group exercise studio plays host to a wide variety of courses geared toward achieving a number of health goals. These sessions are a fun way to break a sweat and socialize at the same time.
Highly Structured Fitness
Of the many benefits to group fitness, many people enjoy the fact that the classes are structured. An instructor plans the workout to help participants achieve a variety of goals:
- Burning calories during a cardio or dance class
- Increasing muscle definition in a strength training class
- Relaxing and stretching during a mind-body class
An instructor knows how to employ training methods and techniques to help participants get the most out of the class. Additionally, the person leading the workout can walk around the room to help individuals with using the correct form or posture.

We have a wide variety of courses available, which means members can choose among different training methods. From cardio to strength to a fusion class that mixes techniques, we are bound to have a session that appeals to you. Some of our many offerings include:
- Tai Chi
We post our course schedule online every month so members can see which classes are being offered at what time and at which locations.
Develop a Routine
Many of our members find that our group classes are a great way to start a fitness routine. You can pick a class to attend every week, or pick a time to show up to a gym and take whichever class is offered. You might find that you enjoy taking classes from a particular instructor. Through using our posted schedule, you can easily develop a regular routine or plan your workouts ahead of time.
Even though you might build a routine around our class schedule, you can still keep some variety. Many people cite that they quit exercising because they have become bored with it. With our wide range of classes, you can take on different training techniques every week and still reap the benefits of getting in a good workout.

Most physiology experts agree on one thing: warming up and cooling down are key aspects to every workout. When people work out on their own, studies show that they are less likely to participate in these activities. The American College of Sports Medicine notes that group fitness classes are a great way to ensure you properly warm up your body for exercise and cool down afterward to prevent injury.
