Fitness has been a part of Brandon's life from a young age. In high school he played football, hockey, and baseball, and continued to play football in college. Brandon knows the dedication necessary to reach one's goals, and applies knowledge from his personal experiences, along with his education, to help his clients safely, and quickly achieve results.
Brandon received his Bachelor's in Exercise Science from St. Olaf College. There he began his training career as an assistant strength and conditioning coach for the schools athletic program.
Brandon has worked with clients from ages 13-83 and has helped them reach a variety of goals including weight loss, body fat reduction, increased strength, better balance, improved mobility, and injury rehabilitation.
Brandon believes that a client ready to make changes with an emphasis on safety are a winning combination for success.
- NASM - national academy of sports medicine
- NSCA - National Strength and conditioning association - can be a certified trainer (cpt) or certified strength and conditioning specialist (cscs)
While studying Kinesiology at St. Olaf, I put myself through a training program and lost 40lbs and decreased my body fat 10% (from 14% to 4%) in 7 months. It was a great feeling, and I thought it would be fun to help other people reach their goals.
I learned I could have more energy, perform at a higher level, and live the lifstyle I desired if I learned more about how the human body works.
There are many things in life we don't have full control over, including our health. I believe it's important to control what we can (ie: healthy eating, regular exercise) to potentially prevent illness, and lead the lifestyle you desire for yourself.
There is no one right way to exercise, or even reach one's goals, but through carefully assessing ones fitness level, I believe I can progress them appropriately to help them reach their goals as fast as possible.
The most important aspect of fitness (aside from motivation and consistency) is finding the right path to your goal. There is no one right way to exercise, but there are better ways given the individuals unique body and current fitness level.

I honestly believe all of my clients have been, and continue to be successful, but one of my favorite stories isn't about tremendous weight loss or strength gains.. One of my clients, in her 60s, came to me without being able to balance on one foot. She also had "bad" knees, tight hips, and weak glutes. In the beginning, a "Step-Up" was a very challenging exercise. After a lot of hard work, consistency, and dedication though, she began to loosen her hips, strengthen her glutes, find her balance, and has not only mastered the step-up, but performs lunges with perfect form! Her knees finally feel great, and she's able to perform daily activities pain free!
