I helped an amazing woman to use her left arm after having multiple surgeries and being told she probably couldn't do much with it. We progressed gradually and started by using core movements that stimulated small movements at her shoulder and eventually were able to get her arm to move more freely. We also worked on her grip strength and over time she was amazed at the function she achieved that at one time she thought was not possible.
I've worked with numerous skiers and snowboarders with sport specific foundational exercise routines. Virtually all have reported that they were significantly less sore and able to perform at a higher level with less fatigue than previous years when they had not conditioned with me.
