I have done gymnastics for 20 years and was on the UCLA gymnastics team from 2008-2013, where we won the NCAA team championships in 2010. I also graduated UCLA with Academic, All-American, and All-Pac 12 team Honors. I am currently training with hopes of making the 2014 Olympics. I have recently become certified for personal training as well as coach youth in competitive gymnastics.

My goal as a trainer is to promote and inspire a healthy lifestyle, positive mindset, and joyful spirit to each and every client. I believe in the importance of setting goals and striving to not only achieve those goals, but to reach beyond them.
I have always had a love for fitness and athletics as well as a passion for helping others. Personal training provides the perfect opportunity to share my knowledge, experience, and passion for fitness and athletics with others to help them live healthier lifestyles.
High school was when my love for fitness really took root. I got serious about gymnastics during that time, but I also ran track and got involved in other activities such as surfing, mountain biking, and rock climbing. I would design workouts for my family and friends, and in college, I even designed some fitness and conditioning workouts for my teammates who were going through rehab after injuries.
I would consider my experience with fitness starting at a really young age, considering that I started gymnastics when I was 3 years old. Professionally, however, I recently got certified for personal training through the NCEP this August.
I come from a gymnastics background, which focuses on core stability, technique, and power as well as grace and poise. Coming from a gymnastics background has taught me so much about the way the body functions as well as muscle movement and flexibility. My specialty is developing lean, toned, yet powerful muscles through functional movements and circuit training. I also have experience in rehabilitation from injuries.
The most important aspect of fitness is to develop and maintain a healthy lifestyle in order to prevent diseases and live longer.

My grandpa comes to mind when I think about someone in need of a commitment to fitness. Because of his lack of active living and bad eating, he suffers from diabetes and heart conditions. His doctor has told him that both of these things can be improved and could have been avoided by eating better and by exercising. It is because of people close to me like my grandpa that I want to help others any way I can to live healthier, because in reality, I could be saving someone's life in the long run.
